TAPROOM FOH TEAM MEMBER
Part time & full-time availability.
Other Monkey Brewing based in the heart of Colchester has undergone rapid expansion in the last year following on from its inception seven years ago. In large part due to the formation of Other Monkey Brewing Taproom combined with an ever-expanding product portfolio. We a modern Craft Beer Brewery brewing everything from our core range of Pale Ales and Lagers to Hazy IPA’s, Gose’s and even cask ale.
The perfect candidate is a passionate, and professional, with constant high standards. The correct candidate will have excellent customer service and a desire to make every customer’s experience amazing.
Successful candidate will be confident, with a focus on great customer service across beverage and food during peak service periods and quieter downtime. The correct candidate will have a desire to learn and to further their career.

TAPROOM GENERAL MANAGER

As an independent taproom this is a career defining opportunity to make the role your own and become the voice/face of the venue. The correct candidate will have excellent customer service and a desire to make every customer’s experience amazing.
Successful candidate will be a confident leader, who leads by example, with excellent foundation knowledge of beer as a basis to take the taproom to the next level. The perfect candidate will drive customer experience in harmony with selling the multifaceted OMB product through the venue. A strong candidate will lead by example whilst maintaining excellent communication between FOH staff and Kitchen team to deliver a consistently high service across beverage and food during peak service periods and quieter downtime, maximizing the efficiency of FOH staff.
The perfect candidate will manage day-to-day responsibilities ranging from back-office duties such as banking and staff rotas, to maintaining OMB products alongside guest craft beer, selling small-pack and such daily tasks. Outside of the daily tasks the perfect candidate will execute our calendar of taproom events underpinning all this with customer interaction and brining people closer to the world of beer.
Responsibilities:
•Drive and maintain excellent customer experience
•Day-to-day operation of the taproom
•Manage and grow FOH team, training and control labour spend
•Cellar maintenance (Cask & Keg)
•Back office duties – Stock – Rota duties – Banking
•Execute regular venue events
•Social media venue interaction
•Management of food service – From booking to finalisation
•Drive sales on daily basis across all OMB portfolio
•Engage with customers and be the voice/face of the venue
•Upkeep of FOH venue
•Adhere to KPI metrics to deliver a sustainable venue
•Delivery weekly meetings and spearhead to progression of the venue
Requirements:
•Demonstrate passion for customer service

•Min 2-year management experience
•Passion to learn and improve oneself and others
•Flexible and willing to meet the demands of the venue

•Experience of food service
